Autrice et journaliste finlandaise, Pihla Hintikka proposera une lecture de deux livres illustrés de Tove Jansson, Qui va rassurer le tibou et Le dangereux voyage, suivie d’une conversation autour deces deux titres. Pendant l’atelier, les enfants seront invités à dessiner et réaliser leurs propres illustrations.

Pihla Hintikka est une autrice et journaliste finlandaise. Installée à Paris depuis 2005, elle travaille notamment pour le plus grand journal finlandais Helsingin Sanomat et écrit en finnois, français et anglais. Elle est spécialisée dans la culture, la société et l'art de vivre. Après deux pièces de théâtre écrites pour la scène finlandaise, elle publie son premier roman aux éditions Otava en 2020. Elle a également écrit trois livres en français : Le Guide féministe de la grossesse (2019), Fille-garçon même éducation (2020) et 30 discussions pour une éducation antisexiste (2021) aux Éditions Marabout. Son deuxième roman en finnois sera publié en 2024 aux Éditions Otava.

Vidya Gastaldon was born in 1974 in Besançon. She lives and works in Grange Neuve (Ain), France. With her mystical, fantastical and extremely vivid approach to art, Gastaldon develops a sort of harmonisation of spiritual and physical qualities. Allergic to any attempt to control and restrain her universe, she delivers a cosmic overview combining Hindi divinities, Muppet Show characters and Christian references. Her work, reminiscent of artists such as J. M. W. Turner, Charles E. Burchfield, and William Blake, is extremely multifaceted and deals with the divine, the hallucinatory, and everyday life. In a mixture of sacred, sensual, tongue-in-cheek and sometimes provocative creations, she establishes a connection between “being” and “meant to be”. She engenders new beliefs, and by means of negative and positive impulses, she pushes social unconsciousness out of the way, liberating our collective thought of the predefined egregores that oblige us to keep reproducing spiritual and social patterns.

Ayşegül Savaş is the author of the novels Walking on the Ceiling, White on White, and The Anthropologists, forthcoming in 2024. She writes for such publications as The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Granta, and The Guardian. Originally from Istanbul, she lives in Paris.

Sini Rinne-Kanto is a Finnish, Paris-based curator, researcher and PhD candidate. In 2016, she co-founded The Community, an art centre and curatorial platform, and since its foundation has worked as Head Curator of the exhibition and event programme.

Seb Emina is an editor and writer based in Paris. He was editor in chief of The Happy Reader magazine until its final issue earlier this year, and is co-curator of the radio art experiment Five Radio Stations, launching 21 October. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Paris Review, The Times Literary Supplement, Fantastic Man, The Gentlewoman and other places too.

Le catalogue est publié à l’occasion de l’exposition Houses of Tove Jansson, Paris, 2023.

Comprenant plus de 200 œuvres de l’exposition, le catalogue entièrement illustré inclut une introduction de la co-commissaire Sini Rinne-Kanto intitulée “La première maison”, un avant-propos de Sophia Jansson et des textes commandés à Hannah Williams, “Just Linger for the Pleasure of It” et Kate Zambreno, “Summer”.

Le catalogue, édité par Annabel Fernandes et conçu par Maria Chiara Moro, comprend 288 pages et une couverture en toile. Il est publié par The Community, Tove Jansson Estate et Moomin Characters.

L’artiste Inès Di Folco conçoit un labyrinthe aquatique, inspiré de ses propres peintures et de son expérience d’enseignante aux Ateliers du Carrousel du Louvre.

Pendant une heure, les enfants vont faire connaissance et réfléchir ensemble. Après un exercice de méditation, le jeu commence : muni d’un crayon et de leur imagination, ils vont embarquer dans le bateau de l’artiste. Frissons et éclats de rire assurés.
